I have earned my 200-Hour yoga teacher certification through YogaWorks’ headquarters in NYC. In additon to One+One Yoga, I own and operate a local yoga studio as well as teach a variety of classes at other nearby studios.

I have 20 years of experience in the heath and fitness industry—as a personal trainer/coach and group fitness instructor for small, privately-owned studios and large corporate gyms (24-Hour Fitness, Gold’s Gym and YMCA), and as a certified Stott Pilates instructor. I’m an avid runner, who has competed in multiple endurance events including 50K, tri-athlons, half and full marathons. Originally, I started practicing yoga to attempt to counteract years of running. I hoped to increase my flexibility and add some variety to my exercise routine. But, what I discovered has been more impactful than I could have imagined.

My faith in Jesus Christ is an important and integral part of my life. As a Christ-follower, my yoga journey started with a lot of apprehension and inconsistency. I did not want to hinder my faith in Christ because of my yoga practice, which is known for its roots in eastern religion. However, after diligent prayer, research, and practice, I have found yoga to be an amazing tool that not only improved my physical and mental health, but also helped my focus during times of prayer and Bible study. And, I want to share what I’ve learned with others.

I’m extremely interested in the human body and I love to educate others about the way the body works. And I apply my background in anatomy and kinesiology to my yoga practice and instruction to maximize effectiveness and to prevent injury. casner familyI never grow tired of witnessing how God so perfectly created the human body to work. I believe this is very evident when we mindfully integrate our movement with our breath. As a teacher, my hope is to inspire others toward mindful movement and attention, both on and off of their yoga mats.

I love my family. My husband, Mat, and I have been married for 21 years. We have four children, 3 girls and one boy, ages ranging from 11 to 17 and enjoy living in a small, midwestern town. As a wife, mom and business owner, I know the value of time and it’s limitations. I thank you for making the time to join me. I look forward to meeting you.

Truly,

Regina
